For 34 years, Celebration of the Arts has been more than an event; it has been a place where Hawaiian voices lead the conversation, traditions are honored, and cultural knowledge is shared across generations.

Held at Honokahua, a place of deep cultural significance, Celebration of the Arts serves as a gathering place for practitioners, artists, and community members to share ʻike (knowledge), honor ancestral connections, and engage in meaningful dialogue about culture, stewardship, and the future of Hawaiʻi.

“Lohe Mai i ke Aʻo” (Heed the Teachings), this year’s theme invites us to reflect on the wisdom of our ancestors and explore how Hawaiian knowledge continues to guide and shape our future. As we gather, we humbly ask that you embrace and uphold the values of aloha, kuleana, and respect that make Hawaiʻi nei so special.

This year, we proudly commemorate the 50th anniversary of Hōkūleʻa and present the Richard Hoʻopiʻi Leo Kiʻekiʻe Falsetto Contest, honoring enduring traditions, cultural excellence, and the voices that carry our heritage forward.
